Flood-Related Update: April 6, 2025
The flood warning issued by Crowe Valley Conservation Authority (CVCA) on Friday, April 4th, 2025, remains in effect. You can read it here. Check the CVCA website for other related updates - they have staff in-office 24/7 during the flood warning.
Please be advised that three municipal roads have now been closed, due to flooding. Signs are in place and should be respected, for your safety and that of your neighbours:
Malone Road, north of Deloro Road
Crofts Road, between Vansickle and Ledge Road
Cameron Street, only open to residents
Please continue to exercise caution when travelling on the following roads, as they are in danger of flooding as well:
Old Marmora Road
Twin Sister Lakes Road, through the long swamp
Peepy Horn Road, by the lake
Vansickle Road, just past the hardtop
Bronson Road, near the end
Sand and sandbags are still available for free at the Roads Department in Deloro (70 O’Brien Street) and behind the Fire Hall. Gates are unlocked and residents can help themselves.
