Notice of Public Meeting of a Zoning Bylaw Amendment 2024-14P

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT

TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of Marmora and Lake Council will hold a Public Meeting on May 7, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. via Hybrid Meeting to consider a proposed zoning bylaw amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act for the application numbered as 2024-14P. The meeting will be conducted IN PERSON in Council Chambers at 12 Bursthall Street, Marmora, ON, and VIRTUALLY and be streamed via YouTube, which is linked via www.marmoraandlake.ca.

Location of Subject Lands: An application to amend the Zone classification for property located on 2126 Cordova Road, Marmora, ON and legally described as Part Lot 20, Concession 1 as in QR234932 except Part 32 Exprop Pl 1811 and Part Lot 20, Concession 1 as in MTA7267 except 21R10097, Part 31, 32, 33 Exprop Pl 1811 & Travelled Road, Municipality of Marmora and Lake, Hastings County has been received. A key map showing the location of the subject property is attached to this Notice.

The purpose and effect of the proposed zoning bylaw amendment is: To rezone the severed lands of Consent to Sever Application No. B96/23 from Marginal Agricultural (MA) Zone to Rural Residential (RR-) Zone. 

Additional information and material relating to the application for the proposed zoning by-law amendments is available for inspection by any member of the public during regular business hours at the municipal office, 12 Bursthall Street, Marmora, ON, K0K 2M0.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake on the proposed zoning by-law amendment, you must make a written request to Municipality of Marmora and Lake at 12 Bursthall Street, P.O. Box 459, Marmora, ON, K0K 2M0.

ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning bylaw amendment. If attending virtually please contact Kristen McConnell, Deputy Clerk, by Friday, May 3, 2024.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral or written submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
