Notice of Public Meeting of a Zoning Bylaw Amendment 2024-51P
NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of Marmora and Lake Council will hold a Public Meeting on October 15, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. via Hybrid Meeting to consider a proposed zoning bylaw amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act for the application numbered as 2024-51P. The meeting will be conducted IN PERSON in Council Chambers at 12 Bursthall Street, Marmora, ON, and VIRTUALLY and be streamed via YouTube, which is linked via www.marmoraandlake.ca.
Location of Subject Lands: An application to amend the Zone classification for property municipally addressed as 671 and 673 Marble Point Road and legally described as Part Lot 11, Concession 3, Lots 19 and 20 on Registrar’s Complied Plan 2132; Municipality of Marmora and Lake, Hastings County has been received. A key map showing the location of the subject property is attached to this Notice.
The purpose and effect of the proposed zoning bylaw amendment is: The purpose of the application is to rezone the entirety of the property from Waterfront Residential (WR) Zone to Waterfront Residential Exception No. 3 (WR-3) Zone to recognise the location of the existing cottage, which will allow for its reconstruction, and to permit the maximum height of an accessory building to be 8.3 metres and to permit the minimum interior yard setback for an accessory building to be 0.95 metres.
Additional information relating to the application for the proposed zoning bylaw amendment is available for inspection by any member of the public during regular business hours at the municipal office, 12 Bursthall Street, Marmora, ON, K0K 2M0.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake on the proposed zoning bylaw amendment, you must make a written request to Municipality of Marmora and Lake at 12 Bursthall Street, P.O. Box 459, Marmora, ON, K0K 2M0.
ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning bylaw amendment. If attending virtually please contact Kristen McConnell, Acting Clerk, by Friday, October 11, 2024.
If a specified person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) but the specified person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake before the bylaw is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a specified person or public body does not make oral or written submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Marmora and Lake before the bylaw is passed, the specified person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
